What is stacking?

Belleville disc springs allow for precise customization. The process, known as “stacking,” uses two or more Belleville disc springs in various configurations to change the load and/or deflection of the springs.

If stacked in parallel (aligned in the same direction), the Belleville disc springs will increase load. If stacked in series (aligned in opposite directions), they will increase deflection. Belleville disc springs can also be arranged as a combination of the two alignments.

The exact configuration of Belleville disc springs depends on the requirements of the application. Our engineers can provide assistance in determining the configuration that best meets your needs.
