What are DIN specifications?

Whether mass-produced or custom-designed, every Belleville made by BelleFlex employs the standard calculations of DIN 2092 to create a disc spring with predictable deflection for a given load and a determinable minimum life cycle. We adhere to the comprehensive quality specifications for type, dimensions, material, permissible stress, permissible set, guide clearance, and the testing of Belleville disc springs, outlined in DIN 2093, as follows:

Group One: Under 1.25mm thick, cold-formed, radius edges, without contact flats;
Group Two: 1.25mm and up to and including 6mm, cold-formed and machined, or fine-blanked with radius edges and without contact flats;
Group Three: Over 6mm thick, 100% machined, with and without contact flats and reduced thickness.

Although DIN 2093 applies only to specific limited applications and sizes, all disc springs produced by BelleFlex are manufactured in accordance with the quality and testing requirements contained in this specification.

We also manufacture heavy-duty Belleville washers, in accordance with specification DIN 6796. These washers, ideally suited for bolted connections, are designed to prevent loosening of the bolt, which may occur as a result of gasket "set", or a number of expansion/contraction cycles.
