Ball Bearing Disc Springs
Using disc springs to pre-load radial ball bearings helps maintain
position and minimize vibration by distributing the load evenly around
the bearing race. Proper pre-loading will also eliminate shaft end play.
This series of springs is designed, so that the outside diameter can
pre-load the outer race of one size of ball bearing, and the inside
diameter can be used to pre-load the inner race of another size of ball
bearing.

The material is quality spring steel: 1074/1075 High Carbon Steel or 6150 Alloy Steel.
If you desire a different material (i.e. corrosion resistant, non-magnetic), please let us know your exact requirements.
Materials other than normal spring steel
have different values for elastic modulus and allowable design stress.
Therefore, the spring design may have to be recalculated. |
